King of the Pro-Am : Team İGK
The first of the two-day Pro-Am tournaments, Avea Prime Pro-Am Golf Tournament, was held on Tuesday 11th November at Belek, the place to be for golf in Turkey. The Pro-Am tournament held at Montgomerie Maxx Royal’s course just before the Turkish Airlines Open gave spectators a taste of the excitement to come. 22 teams comprising one professional and three amateurs challenged each other to be the winner.
Team İGK comprising Tommy Fleetwood (pro), Nüzhet Atabek, Yusuf Kalaycı and Bekir Şerbetçioğlu were victorious with a total score of -19. Team Cornelia comprising George Coetzee (pro), Ali Şahin, Fahir Telli and Nurettin Katrancı was second, scoring a total of -18. Team Millenium comprising Gregory Bourdy (pro), Nadil Tosun, Levent Topal and Murat Doğan took third place with -16.
The three teams were rewarded with 1500, 1000 and 500 euros respectively, presented by the CEO of Avea Erkan Akdemir, the Chairman of the Turkish Golf Federation Ahmet Ağaoğlu, and the Chairman of the Board of Koç Holding Mustafa Koç.
