Legendary Tiger Woods hits the the golf balls on the Bosphorus Bridge İstanbul marking the the start of the Turkish Airlines Open 2013 golf tournament.
There was a different sort of traffic jam in the city. World No. 1 golfer Tiger Woods spent the morning in Istanbul attending to a number of publicity engagements ahead of this week’s inaugural $ 7 million tournament; Turkish Airlines Open in Belek, November 7-10 at the Montgomerie Maxx Royal. Tiger hit golf balls off the Bosphorus Bridge, the bridge that joins the Europe to the Asia continent on 14:26 PM by the local time, marking the start of the Turkish Airlines Open 2013 golf tournament. The bridge was closed to traffic between 2:00 and 3:00 p.m. local time while the photo shoot takes place.
This was Woods’ second visit to Turkey after competing in last year’s Turkish Airlines Invitational.
One of the highest profile golf event also Tiger Woods taking to the tee at the inaugural European Tour event in Turkey, a tournament with a bumper prize fund of $7 million.
