Race is boiling up at Montgomerie Maxx Royal

Course record from Tiger Woods playing 63 on the second round of Turkish Airlines Open while breathtaking leaderboard at Montgomerie Maxx Royal. The race is boiling up for the weekend, Justin Walters, Ian Poulter, Victor Dubuisson and Henrik Stenson showed classy performances as they are all -12.

High quality golf seen on the second day of the Turkish Airlines Open by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism at Montgomerie Maxx Royal Golf Course in Belek, Antalya. Henrik Stenson and Ian Poulter headline a four way tie at top of the leaderboard, with Victor Dubuisson and Justin Walters also there.

Early in the morning the first rounds completed. Skies were clear and temperatures mild also winds finally decreased in the afternoon.
The battle to finish top of the Race to Dubai is really hotting up with Henrik Stenson and Ian Poulter at the sharp end. Stenson finished the round with 68 while Ian Poulter played 66 same as yesterday so he continued his stable game staying at the top. Victor Dubuisson lead the second round again playing 66 also. Five top tens for the Frenchman so far this season but no victory yet. It will be a maiden if Victor Dubuisson finishes at the top on the weekend.

Playing 64 so finishing the Par 72 course with (-8) Henrik Stenson, Darren Fichardt and Thomas Björn all broke the course record. Then it was Tiger’s turn… The World Number One, whose appearance this week has created much excitement with the locals, showed some signs of life this morning. The highlight of round 2 came by Tiger Woods, signing the course record after playing 63. Woods is thinking only of winning and already has a target score in mind for the tournament. Woods said, “Only one back … Got two more days of hopefully making a lot of birdies.” and he added, “But so many guys with a chance to win.”
